1. GOVERNMENT
We seek to improve communication, connection, and representation between elected officials and the Black community. Our intent is to assist and improve.
Why?
Government and politics have an impact on nearly every aspect of our lives. Our involvement in government plays a huge role in our daily lives, taxes, and the types of representation we have for the Black community.
Because of this,
Being a spectator in politics is no longer a viable option for the Black community. For the past century, Black voters have been the most loyal voter base in United States. While the Black community makes up more than 50% of major metropolitan growth, having a well-informed voter increases the chances of an elected official’s ability to maintain their position and continue helping their constituents.
We will:
a. Work with elected officials (federal, state, local) to advance Black community awareness, increase funding programs to Black-owned businesses, and improve the impact regulatory awareness to the public.
b. Promote public awareness of the possible limitations placed on Black-owned businesses and the importance of investing in Black-owned businesses to encourage greater participation cooperation and elected officials.
c. Bridge the gaps between elected officials, constituents, the Black community, etc.
d. Promote the proper representation of Black men and Black-owned businesses
